Welcome to the 2023 Summer Season
The schedules are now posted at: https://wcsc.e2esoccer.com/Default.aspx, use the "My Team" tab near the top of the page to choose your team, then the "Schedules" link at the left to see the full schedule for your team -- please note that in most cases two teams share a practise field. Practises are in the team's schedule and will have a number in the 7000's with the "Div" (division) listed as "Prac" (Practise).

Game/Practice time: all U8 games and practices will last just under one hour and could start between 6PM and 7:15PM on the stated day depending on field availability. The exact schedule for your team will be published in May.
Note: the first Wednesday, May 24, will be a practice.
U8 teams play 5 vs 5 on a half mini field. Team sizes are limited to 8 to 10 children; smaller teams would have trouble having enough players for games later in the summer, larger teams create the likelihood of having a third shift of players which provides insufficient game time for the kids. As a result some communities may have too many or too few players. In these situations it may be necessary to assign a player or players to their “second choice” community. This is done based on registration date and location.
Mixed versus Girls Only:
U8 is offered as a mixed program or girls only. While girls are more than welcome to join the mixed teams, please be aware that historically almost all girls have chosen to play girls only; sometimes leaving girls in the mixed division to be the lone female on a team.
Coaches and Assistant Coaches:
If you have not yet done so, please consider getting involved as a coach or assistant coach for your child’s team. Teams cannot start the season without a designated “Coach”. You don’t need to know the game; you just have to learn it faster than the children! All coaches will be provided with lesson plans for each session and all volunteers are invited to our Coaches Information Meeting. If you’re not sure, why not contact the Program Director. We look forward to a fun season!

All players, parents and spectators are required to abide by the WCSC Code of Conduct.
Jewellery: No item of jewellery of any sort will be allowed on the field of play, even if it is taped. This includes but is not limited to necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, leather or rubber bands or visible body piercings. Loose beaded hair is also not permitted unless tied back or covered by a net. This rule follows Law 4 issued by the Canadian Soccer Association and is in place to ensure the safety of everyone on the field. Please, DO NOT GET YOUR CHILD ANY PIERCING DURING THE SOCCER SEASON, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH STUDS IN.
Refunds: Players notifying email@example.com before May 10 will receive a full refund less a $25 administration fee. After May 10, the Club may provide a pro-rated refund if a player must cease playing for medical reasons. A doctor's statement may be required.
